AC scrap buyer in Dammam
Every air conditioner holds copper, aluminium and steel, and the compressor alone is worth weighing. canasa buys compressors whole, by weight, and prices coils and old units from a photo.

What is inside an AC unit
A split or window unit breaks down into parts the yard grades one by one.
- 01Compressor
The heavy black sealed shell: steel outside, copper windings inside. Bought whole, by weight, with no need to cut it open.
- 02Condenser and evaporator coils
Copper tube with aluminium fins, or all aluminium in newer units. Priced with the radiator grades, and clean coils pay more than ones with steel brackets attached.
Aluminium scrap - 03Fan motors
Steel bodies wound with copper. Larger motors from package units and chillers pay more.
- 04Casing and frame
Galvanised or painted steel panels, priced with the steel.

Before you bring AC scrap
If you are taking units down yourself, these steps keep you safe and keep the value.
- 01Recover the gas first
Before the lines are cut, have an AC technician recover the refrigerant from any unit coming off a wall or roof.
- 02Whole or in parts
Whole units are fine. If you have already stripped them, keep compressors, coils and motors in separate piles so each is priced on its own.
- 03Count the units
For a building or compound refit, tell us how many units and what type. The grader can price the lot from a few photos.
Questions about AC scrap
From households, maintenance companies and facility teams.
Do you buy old AC units from homes?
Yes, from one window unit up to a full building refit. Send photos first, then drive in or ask about a pickup.
How much is an AC compressor worth as scrap?
Compressors are priced per kilo, so a heavier unit is worth more. The written quote gives the price per kilo before you bring them in.
Do you buy compressors from fridges and chillers?
Yes. Fridges, freezers and chillers use the same kind of sealed compressor and coils. As with AC units, have a technician recover the refrigerant before anything is cut.
Photograph the units
Show the compressor plates or the outdoor units from a few angles, and say how many there are.
