Cable scrap buyer in Dammam
Cable is priced on what is inside it. canasa estimates how much copper or aluminium each cable holds, writes the price per kilo against that ratio, and buys it with the jacket still on.

Cable we buy
Bring cable whole or cut to length. The grader sorts it by core metal and thickness.
- 01Copper power cable
Thick single and multi-core cable from substations, plants and site supply. The thicker the core, the higher the ratio.
- 02Armoured cable
Cable with a steel wire or tape armour under the outer jacket. The armour counts in the weight, so it is priced below unarmoured cable of the same size.
- 03Building wire
Thin copper wire from rewiring jobs and fit-outs. Its ratio is lower than heavy cable, and it is still worth keeping out of mixed scrap.
- 04Aluminium cable
Silver-white cores, far lighter than copper. Priced on a line of its own, so keep it apart from copper cable.
Aluminium scrap
Before you bring cable
Three habits that make the price more exact.
- 01Photograph the print
The jacket is printed with the core count and size, for example 4 x 95 mm². A close photo of that print lets the grader work out the ratio before you load.
- 02Leave the jacket on
Stripping by hand takes hours, and burning ruins the copper. The ratio price already pays for the metal inside.
- 03Separate copper from aluminium
Cut one end of each coil to check the core. Copper and aluminium cable go on separate lines of the quote.
Questions about cable scrap
From electrical contractors, plants and site managers.
What is the price of cable scrap in Dammam?
It depends on the core metal and the recovery ratio, so there is no single price. Send a photo of the cable ends and the jacket print on WhatsApp for a written price per kilo.
What is recovery ratio?
The share of a cable’s weight that is metal once the jacket and any armour are removed. A heavy copper cable can be mostly metal, while thin building wire is mostly plastic.
Do you collect cable from project sites?
Yes. Offcuts from substations, plants and fit-outs can go in a bin at the site, swapped when full, in Dammam, Khobar, Dhahran and Jubail.
